8 Weekly Live Workshops: Our heart-centered workshops are where the magic happens! Each 60-minute session combines reflection, journaling prompts and guided hands-on creative play. You’ll experience transformative sessions like “Seeing Your True Self” where we explore self-portraiture as a pathway to confidence and “Becoming Your Own Beloved” where we create pages that celebrate self-compassion—all delivered with plenty of laughter, encouragement, and “aha” moments along the way.
4 Creative Sanctuary Sessions: More than just extra creation time, these sessions provide a sacred container where everyday distractions fall away, allowing your creativity to flourish. Each session features carefully curated music, poetry readings, and gentle guidance to fuel your creative soul, while providing the structured completion time that ensures you actually finish your journal pages (finally say goodbye to unfinished projects gathering dust!). These sanctuary sessions are a chance to integrate what you are learning in a supportive environment.
“I Am Enough” Affirmation Card Retreat: Your Personal Oracle: This special one-day retreat is a participant favorite! Together we’ll create a deck of hand-crafted affirmation cards that speak directly to your journey—personal declarations of your worth and wisdom, not generic phrases. You’ll learn techniques for layering color, incorporating meaningful symbols, and adding powerful words that resonate with you. Many participants tell me these cards become daily touchstones, offering guidance long after our program ends.

What if I’m not an artist! or I can’t draw? (I hear this all the time)
Good news! Rise isn’t about being “an artist” – it’s about being authentic. The focus is on intention and personal expression, not technical perfection. The techniques we use are designed to create beautiful results regardless of your drawing ability or artistic background. This program is specifically designed for people who don’t consider themselves artists but want to explore their creativity in a supportive environment.
What supplies will I need?
We’ll be exploring mixed media techniques throughout Rise, transforming a simple composition book into a stunning art journal. When you register, you’ll receive a detailed supply list, but the basics include: a composition book (your journal foundation), gesso, acrylic paints and basic painting tools (brushes, spray bottle), adhesives (like acrylic glazing medium and clear-drying glue sticks), and collage materials (magazines, ephemera, stickers).
Don’t worry about having everything perfect—we offer modifications for each project, and you can absolutely use supplies you already have on hand. The emphasis is on creative exploration, not expensive materials!
What if I miss a session? I’m worried about falling behind…
Life happens! All sessions are recorded and yours to keep forever, so you can catch up at your own pace. The community aspect enhances the experience, but your journey is personal and can unfold on your timeline.
How much time should I set aside each week?
Plan for about 2-3 hours weekly—60 minutes for our workshop, optional creative sanctuary time, and some personal creative time to play with what you’re learning. But remember, this is joyful time, not another obligation!
